Artist Hugo Arcier gives us a virtual perspective on the March 2011 tsunami on the coast of Japan that most of us were lucky enough not to have experienced in real life. Moving backwards from the crest of the devastating wave, the animation’s perspective conveys the imminent destruction the Japanese population must have felt watching a wall of water envelope city blocks.The animation then switches gears, taking aerial view of the wave traveling through the urban environment.
