A Stunning Montage of 1500 Panoramas Expand over the Horizon

See Sicily from this geometric vantage point.

It’s scientific fact that the human eye can only see up to 3.1 miles in distance. Our eyes hit the horizon, and from there on, the unknown world stays a mystery. In HORIZON, Gianluca Scuderi explores the human relationship with where the earth and sky meet.

The video aims to reconsider “the concept of the horizon,” according to the artist, and contains a montage of 1500 panoramic shots of Sicily to compose an “infinite horizon”. We see two concepts of the horizon, the real horizon with a tangible and limited view, and an imaginary one, a source of innovation and discovery.
