The Rapid Eye (Short Film) from FLORIS+MENNO.We're used to fashion films making us want clothing--but what about one that gives us the chills? In The Rapid Eye, above, a young girl undergoes a form of therapy that causes her to hallucinate horrific moments from her past. Fun!"The Rapid Eye is a experimental art & fashion film which is born from the personal need to experiment with a fragmented way of storytelling, aesthetics, practical effects and evoking emotions on a subconscious level," creator Menno Fokma recently told us. With an erie soundtrack and striking visuals highlighting the clothing of Dutch fashion designer Anne de Grijff, this is certainly one of the most inventive films of its kind we've seen. Despite its originality, we highly doubt Anna Wintour would be much amused the atmospheric and moody qualities of this fashion forray--but we'll let you the viewer be the judge.Below, check out some of our favorite spooky/scary stills from this stylish film:SCREENED ON: Playgrounds Digital Arts Fest (playgroundsfestival.nl), November 6,7&8, The Netherlands.-Direction: FLORIS+MENNOSound: Box of Toys Audio (boxoftoysaudio.com/)Woman: Inez VerhilleCamera: Michael BrookeGaffer: Bart Van TunenFashion Producer: Py Tswang JinSet Producer: Marcel v/d VeldenStylist: Afagh MorrowatianFashion Design (in church): Anne De GrijffMake-Up & Hair: Ineke BrugmanAdd.camera & Post: Floris Vos & Menno FokmaAll shot on the Lumix GH3 with a wide range of lenses (mostly Voigtlanders)Floris and Menno
