Afternoon Animation: Tissue Animals Look Like Stop Motion Harry Potter "Patronus Charms"

Monkeys, horses, snakes, and more delicate creatures come to life.

There are so many insane stop motion videos out on the web, but sometimes keeping it simple is best. "Tissue Animals," by Hitoshi Sato, Fuyu Arai, Motoki Ohno, and more stays within that mentality to create an impressive short in which tissues are transformed into animals that sort of resemble the Patronus charm creatures from Harry Potter.

The promotional clip was made for a Japanese paper manufacturer, Nepia, that strives to use forest trees without actually razing them, and the use of tissue animals supports the company's goal to preserve nature while still benefiting from its fruits. This is tissue craft art at its most sustainable and entertaining peak.
