Fans of the 80s English new-wave band Duran Duran should be eagerly anticipating the release of their 13th studio album out on iTunes December 21st. We’re especially psyched to hear the magical touch of superproducer (and long-time Duran Duran fan) Mark Ronson, who has said the album is the “imaginary follow up to Rio that never was.”The LP features guest vocals from Kelis (of “Milkshake” fame) and Ana Matronic of the Scissor Sisters, with string arrangements from Arcade Fire’s Owen Pallett. We’re thinking it exemplifies just the kind of pop-revitalization that Duran Duran needed.
