Design and moving image studio, ATYP, premiered a new digital animation short this week, titled XxDr, that flips the idea of "mind over matter" to investigate the metaphysical relation between the two. Using a dynamic game engine, the video piece simulates microscopic landscapes with bursts of color and slick 3D design. The creators ask "What happens when synthetic environments are infiltrated by natural phenomena…when science is invaded by poetry?" The result is an animated journey that follows atom-like figures bouncing around geometric terrain, shattering fragments of the surrounding world with beautiful hops.Watch the clip above and observe the rhythmic degradation.
