The paper crane game just got hotter, thanks to a flock of multi-colored origami birds in dozens of different themes created by artist Cristian Marianciuc. Fire, water, snow, vegetation, illustration, newsprint, and even a violin flavor the dozens of paper sculptures he's made over the past couple of months as a visual diary that captures his daily events and feelings. "As a result of my 'quarter-life crisis' and of the sinking feeling that days were passing me by without me creating new memories or making use of my creativity, my origami crane diary was born," Marianciuc tells The Creators Project.

Using the Instagram account @icarus.mid.air, he has catalogued each bird's unique imprint. He continues, "Each time I look at one of my cranes, I can remember at least one thing about the day in which it was made."
