Artist To Recreate Starry Night On Former Van Gogh Stomping Ground

Artist Daan Roosegaarde takes his illuminate stones to the site of the famous painter's wanderings.

Taking his glowing stones on the road, artist Daan Roosegaarde is in talks to create the world's first permanent illuminated bike path. Located in the Eindhoven region, the proposed [Van Gogh Bicycle Path](http://uk.heijmans.nl/Roosegaarde-%20VanGoghBicyclePath#.UmjeGmkW2Sd
) will run where Vincent Van Gogh lived from 1883 to 1885, and create a real-world interpretation of one of his most famous paintings
Starry Night_ (see below).

To be composed of thousands of glowing stones, the 600-metre long path will utilize the same light-emitting techniques Roosegarde employed for his Smart Highway concept. Solar powered, these stones are able to charge during the day, and shimmer all night.
