Artists And Writers Explore Online Culture Offline At The Eternal Internet Brotherhood's Mexico Event

Angelo Plessas is seeking support for his six day retreat south of the border.

An artist retreat can be the ideal place to get the creative juices flowing so your brain can then marinade in them and produce the goods—and that’s a belief Angelo Plessas shares and explores with his non-profit organization The Eternal Internet Brotherhood. Last year he ran a five day summer camp for artists on the Greek island of Anafi and this year he plans to take the idea to Mexico for a six day event.

It’ll take place in April and will incorporate the Atzec pyramid of Tepotzlan and the surrealist park of Las Posas. This “artist collaboration camp” takes a cross disciplinary approach and allows artists to hang out in a beautiful and inspiring setting to discuss ideas and explore concepts that relate to internet culture and virtual behaviors in an experimental environment.

Some of the artists involved this year are the “Famous New Media Artist” Jeremy Bailey, Jesse Darling, Priscilla Tea, Angelidakis Andreas, Joe Hamilton, and many more. If it sounds like something you want to get involved with, you can go check out the Indiegogo page to find out more.
