Choi Jeong Hwa’s Vibrant Installations Elevate Dumpster Diving To High Art

It’s been a while since we’ve looked at works from our first generation Creator Choi Jeong Hwa. Acclaimed for his large-scale, extravagant installations that vibrantly imagine new meaning for everyday materials, the contemporary artist has been busy setting up shop all over the world this year.

Time After Time is currently installed at the 2012 London Olympics. Wrapping 16 concrete pillars with 7,000 neon green plastic baskets, the installation adds a much needed splash of color and dimension to the grey facade of the Hayward Gallery.

From San Francisco all the way to Hong Kong and Kiev and Perth, here’s a look at some of his latest creations.
