Preview Cory Arcangel's First Solo Show In Three Years

"All The Small Things" is the post-internet artist's first show since 2011's lauded Whitney opening, "Pro Tools."

It begins with, "3 Best Friends… On their Last Adventure before College," snakes it's way through JPEGs of Diddy and Paris Hilton CDs, and ends on a title card that reads All The Small Things, and a bumper that announces it was made in iMovie. What is it? Nothing less than magical: All The Small Things, Cory Arcangel's new promo for his first new solo-showing since the visionary Pro Tools that opened at the Whitney in 2011.

The prosumer-produced trailer teases us with blinks of what (from what we can tell) can only mean the artist is planning a full return to prophetic, iconoclastic, and ever tongue-in-chic form. Plus, it comes with an announcement made on Cory Arcangel's website, which eschews International Art English for Netspeak:

If u r wondering what I’ve been up to for the past 3 years, def take a trip to Herning, where I am bout to open a show called "All The Small Things." Its my first show of new work since 2011 (aka Whitney). It has a bunch of new series, etc, etc. Most of the stuff I’ve been trying to keep secret. Also, if u make it to the opening, my new compositions Dances For The Electric Piano will be performed, …….so that’s another reason 2 take the 4 hour train ride from Copenhagen. C u on Friday!

While most all of the work has been kept under serious wraps, enjoy this cryptic photo of a video game Shaquille O'Neal that was shared with Herning's press release:

We can only hope the above image alludes to a new video game hack, in the vein of 2002's iconic Super Mario Clouds. While we troll all our old Arcangel posts and mentions for clues, post your thoughts and ideas in the comments section below.

All The Small Things opens at Herning Museum of Contemporary Art in Herning, Denmark on March 22, and runs through June 14th, 2014. Check out the artist's original announcement here
