Creators Remix Roundup: Passion Pit, Fool's Gold, And Jamie xx

A-Trak’s new single with DJ Zinc, Little Daylight remixes “Constant conversations,” and Recycle Culture uplifts The xx’s, “Chained.”

Our Creators are a talented and prolific bunch, and our inbox is always overflowing with alerts of new remixes and mashups from the incredible DJs and producers in our line-up. We just couldn't keep these fresh new tunes to ourselves because, after all, filesharing is caring. Here are our top picks from the past week.

The xx: “Chained” (Recycle Culture Remix):

After premiering Young Replicant's lush video for The xx's song "Chained," we can't get enough of the bands intimate, whispering sound. But sometimes we need a back beat, and Recycle Culture’s remix gives us just that. While maintaining the song's heartfelt qualities, he injects it with a more optimistic sound and a club-ready tempo. Listen to the track over at Gorilla Vs. Bear .

A-Trak & Zinc: “Like The Dancefloor” (feat. Natalie Storm)

We'll all for our creators, but Fool’s Gold’s A-Trak is a little outshined on this new track by dancehall diva Natalie Storm. If you can turn lyrics like "Bubble–bubble lick that" into something that's actually cool and not cheesy, you must be onto something. Plus the video—taken at London's Notting Hill Festival—features crazy costumes, crowds, and party whistles (if that’s a thing). How could you not want to dance?

Passion Pit: “Constant Conversations” (Little Daylight Remix)

Passion Pit’s second album, Gossamer is a sunny, summer-filled album that was released right at the peak of the heat earlier this year in July. Though as we’re whipping out our autumn sweaters, the hype around the album has simmered down. However, thanks to Little Daylight’s remix of “Constant Conversations,” Passion Pit is back on our radar. With some sped up vocals and sonic synth sounds, lead singer Michael Angelakos’s voice fills up the song in a way we didn’t see before.
