Creators Remix Roundup: Tinchy Stryder, Chilly Gonzales, And AraabMUZIK

Tinchy’s new single, Chilly’s piano rendition of Drake’s “Marvin’s Room,” and AraabMUZIK produces Azealia Bank’s recent track.

Our Creators are a talented and prolific bunch, and our inbox is always overflowing with alerts of new remixes and mashups from the incredible DJs and producers in our line-up. We just couldn't keep these fresh new tunes to ourselves because, after all, filesharing is caring. Here are our top picks from the past week. For past Creators Remix Roundups, click here.

Tinchy Stryder: “Help Me”

Even though Hurricane Katrina happened seven years ago, there’s no way we can shit on Tinchy Stryder‘s latest vid for “Help Me.” The UK grime superstar takes a tour of post-Katrina New Orleans, and there’s a whole crucifix motif happening (kind of reminiscent of the Leonardo DiCaprio version of Romeo and Juliet) that we love. Plus, Stryder’s driving a blue Mini Coop… just like my mom! Timely, not so much—but beautifully shot and a pretty killer tune.

Drake: “Marvin’s Room” (Chilly Gonzales remix)

Cue this pleasant melody up on Sunday (or now), and your life will immediately get a little bit better. Chilly Gonzales puts out a piano instrumental version of Drake‘s "Marvin’s Room." It’s just a clip, but after listening, I can’t help wondering what would happen if they actually collaborated. That’s fun to think about.

Azealia Banks prod. by AraabMUZIK: “Succubi”

Is anyone else unclear as to why Azealia Banks is so hot right now? As a coworker recently pointed out, the chick has her own MAC lipstick, but hasn’t yet released a full-length album. Now she’s brought on producer AraabMUZIK to jazz up her latest track “Succubi.” (Have you seen this guy perform?! He’s off the hook.) Man, sometimes I miss being 21.
