Creators Remix Roundup Week 41

Boys Noize, Glasser, G-Dragon and Drunken Tiger.

Our Creators are a very talented and prolific bunch, and our inbox is always cluttered with alerts of new remixes and mashups from the incredible DJs and producers in our line-up. We just couldn't keep these fresh new tunes to ourselves because, after all, filesharing is caring. Here are our top picks from the past week.

Boys Noize and Erol Alkan: “Lemonade”

The official video for German producer Boys Noize and UK DJ Erol Alkan‘s “Lemonade” just came out earlier this week. The track, which is just under two minutes, is expectedly glitchy and progressive, but provides a complimentary contrastive soundtrack to the acrobatic stuntwomen performing bike tricks for their parents. Back in 2009, the duo teamed up on a few tracks, which became Alkan’s first original releases, and we blogged about their last collaboration a few weeks back. We’re not sure if this is going to be an ongoing partnership, but one thing’s for sure… we’re drinking it.

Glasser: “Treasury of We” (Delorean remix)

Barcelona’s Delorean is known for their airy pop music, which is characterized with a compulsive danceability factor. They take Glasser‘s “Treasury of We” and play up the ambient melody, layering and looping Cameron Mesirow’s vocals in a Pogo-esque way.

G-Dragon and Drunken Tiger: “A Boy Here”

Korean pop idol and frontman of Big Bang, G-Dragon, teams up with fellow Korean artist Tiger JK of Drunken Tiger on this booty-shaker of a collaboration. We’re unfortunately not fluent in Korean, so our only regrets are that there’s no video to steer us through the narrative (like there was for the Diplo-produced “Knock Out”).
