EB Office: Dynamic Performance of Nature

Inspired by the notion that sustainability should be crafted to evolve beyond conventional “green” applications, architectural media installation Dynamic Performance of Nature senses the world’s active natural environment, communicating its findings to visitors of the intelligent, solar-powered wall. Programmed by data visualization software to reflect fluctuating weather conditions determined by environmental sensors, the installation’s color palette is dictated by an ongoing weather feed of wind speeds, directions, earthquake magnitudes and temperatures from across the globe. Visitors are also invited to interact with the wall via Twitter, sending requests to @LeoArtWall to update the global weather feed or paint a sequence of colors across the wall.

William Ismael: DopeMotion

William Ismael’s interactive spatial experience DopeMotion processes real-time movement and transfers the information to display a distorted, color-frenzied animation. Through the use of several self-written applications and a video camera, the program detects motion and filters the scene into a playful, splotchy projection. The resulting waves of circular explosions and pixelated silhouettes make uniquely beautiful screenshots, as no one specific image can be really replicated.

Jakob Wagner: Valencia

Seeming to have the ability to bring inanimate cityscapes to life, Jakob Wager takes long exposure photography to a new level with his brilliant series Valencia. By photographing the city of Valencia during its nightly slumber, Wager demonstrates his meticulous technique and careful execution in the art of photography. With images that depict a hyperspatial surreal city, Valencia, Spain has never looked more stunning.
