Feelings Film Festival Jets to LA

Tonight head out for a strong dose of the eccentric and true in video art.

In praise of the zany and idiosyncratic, the [Feelings Film Festival](http://feelingsfilmfestival.tumblr.com/ ) showcasing emerging video artists debuts this evening in Los Angeles.  Filled to brim with works by 34 artists including Ryder Ripps, Tim Barber, and The Creators Project’s very own Emerson Rosenthal, the programming couldn’t give us any more feelings.

FFF places all of our eccentricities and cultural obsessions on the big screen in a formal film festival format but what is shared is anything but traditional. From the socially conscious to the selfie-aware, the festival digs deep into our creative psyche to highlight videos made out of many formats we fidget with from our mobile handheld to 3D CGI software.

Curators Adam Levett and Chloe Wise find their featured artists by scouring Instagram and the "old internet" to build out the LA version of their already successful NY-Based FFF franchise. Levett tells The Creators Project, "I'm really drawn to the idea of showing very established people as well as younger up-and-coming people. Both strong, exciting, they are original voices at different points in there career."

He says, "Part of the excitement of this edition was including LA-based artists or work that was representative of all the great art coming out of the West Coast right now. The festival is all about blending art and the classic filmmaker and this is the perfect place to do that."

Feelings Film Festival LA takes place this evening at The Standard, Downtown LA at 550 South Flower St.

Let us gush a little over the vide work of our editor, Emerson Rosenthal:
