We never knew we'd see the day our charming, artisanal mixologists would be thrust into obsolescence, but here we are: designed by Carlo Ratti Associati with MIT, Coca-Cola, and Bacardi, the Makr Shakr is the robotic bartender we've been waiting for.A uniquely crafted machine modeled after Roberto Bolle, the principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre, the Makr Shakr features several state-of-the-art components, including an app that can monitor your blood-alcohol level. What’s truly exceptional about the Makr Shakr, though, is its encyclopedic knowledge of cocktails: it can apparently mix one googol (1 followed by 100 zeroes) different drink combinations, with mechanically perfect measurements.The Makr Shakr originally debuted back in 2013 at Google I/O in San Francisco, but it will be available for rent at your next party starting this September.
