If you live in a cold urban locale, by mid-April, there's nothing beautiful about the snow. As it melts, cigarette butts litter the ground like ants, every scaffold brings a brief hailstorm, and black ice trips you on your way home. For four minutes however, allow this timelapse of Finland’s pristine winter to remind you of the magic that lives in that first snowy morning that comes around in December. Winter Wonderland by Niko Juntunen captures rich sunsets as they reflect off miles of untouched white; auroras intermingle with snow-capped trees; and bright blue nights transform into sparkling white mornings. See all of that and more captured in stunning 4K below.
