We like to get weird, which is why we love National Absurdity Day. And what better day to celebrate the odd hilarity of the internet than with a special focus on vintage collages, and out-of-control aliens?

Part of the allure of absurdist art and literature is that we don't quite understand it, and often don't quite want to—that "what the fuck?" feeling is natural. Combining humor and even a touch of horror, these artists manage to make us laugh and cringe at the same time, quintessentially defining the "absurd" experience.
