Combining the aurora borealis with time-lapse photography was always going to be a winning formula. This particular display of charged particles hitting the Earth’s atmosphere took place in Tromsø, Norway. Words like “majestic” and “wonder” spring to mind while watching the video. “Stunning” and “entrancing” work as well. And we can only begin to image the overwhelming sense of awe that one might feel while experiencing something like this in real life. So, well done Tor Even Mathisen for capturing it. But, we have to wonder, does it beat the rapture-inducing spectacle of a double rainbow?
