Happy Birthday, Mr. Picasso: Last Week in Art

A lot went down this week in the weird and wild world of Art. Some things were more scandalous than others, some were just plain wacky—but all of them are worth knowing about. Without further ado:  

+ Yesterday was Pablo Picasso’s 134th birthday! Go celebrate.

+ Set against the backdrop of the celebratory "rehanging" of their collection, Paris' Picasso Museum has announced plans to annually exhibit the work of a young contemporary artist alongside that of an established artist. In February, this will be artist Raphaël Denis, followed by Miquel Barceló in March. [The Art Newspaper]
