Hyped: The Week In Links 3/23

Busy week? Here are some things you may have missed.

On the blog we’ve been busy collating galleries of exhibitions, plus Squarepusher’s dazzling performance, from our San Francisco event. We also found out how you can attach your Legos to your Tinkertoy, saw a real-life Nyan Cat, saw how Quayola reinterpreted Rodin’s The Thinker into a digital sculpture, looked at a new breakthrough in digital cameras, saw our Creative Director and Global Editor on PBS’s latest Off Book show, found out how you can paint with time-lapse footage of the stars, played the Mad Men game, were wowed by mashups of Radiohead with nature footage, enjoyed some cute stereoscopic monsters, and investigated the kitchen music phenomenon.

Elsewhere, in the kingdom of the digital…

· This could well be an elaborate prank and definitely sounds like it comes from the pages of the Onion or Homer Simpson’s mind—it’s Tacocopter, a drone service that delivers tacos to your doorstep using quadcopters. Let’s hope it’s real.

· Did you know that John Pound, the artist who illustrated the Garbage Pail Kids cards, also writes code that draws random digital comic books and cartoons? Now you do. [via]

· Digital artist Mark Amerika’s latest project is The Museum of Glitch Aesthetics which “tells the story of The Artist 2.0, an online persona whose personal mythology and body of digital artworks are rapidly being canonised into the annals of art history.” What could it all mean.

· Robojelly is a robot inspired by the movement of jellyfish and powered by hydrogen. Can’t wait for the first drone vs. robojelly death match.

· Virtual tourist: Google Street View now includes the Amazon rainforest (above). Go explore this giant, leafy life fest from the comfort of your screen.
