An immersive animation brings the magic of the catwalk to an ornate staircaise inside the Grand Palais Museum. For visitors to the newly opened Paris exhibition on Jean Paul Gaultier's industry-changing fashion, Moment Factory, the designers behind magical forests and animated cathedrals, have transformed the Escalier de Arts into Staircase of the Muses, a projection-mapped installation combining paparazzi-like lights and generative visuals. It's an attempt to let the public "make their mark on the catwalk," Moment Factory tells The Creators Project.Lights lining the steps evoke the emotion and intensity of a fashion show. A camera captures visitors' silhouettes, transforming them into an ever-changing digital mural that calls on Gaultier's motifs and palettes. The exhibition, The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk, originally appeared at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, and Moment Factory worked closely with its curators and the Grand Palais team to evoke the open-minded approach that made the French enfant-rebelleso unique. Says Moment Factory, "The Staircase of the Muses is thus a true celebration of the public, inviting them to become part of Gaultier’s festive narrative."The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk and Staircase of Muses will be at the Grand Palais through August 3, 2015.See more of Moment Factory's work on their website, or check out our previous coverage below.Related:[Video] Enter A Real-Life Enchanted Forest With Moment Factory's 'Foresta Lumina'Moment Factory Turns Nature Installation Into Vibrant, Multi-Sensory ArenaMoment Factory Creates A Landscape Of Pixels For Nine Inch Nails TourBarcelona's Most Famous Building, Sagrada Familia, Gets Spectacularly Illuminated
