As the founder of Strike Gently Co, I deal in pins and patches daily. The Creators Project asked me to pull together a weekly roundup of the best newly-released pins. Most of these will probably sell out. If you like them, smash that “add to cart” button. Every Wednesday, you can head to the bottom of this article for an exclusive discount code so you can keep your pin game sharp.

Although I've been on holiday for a week, it's good to be back. These columns ground me in the eternal beauty and natural goodness of online shopping. It’s a spiritual pursuit! Here are five of this week’s best pin releases with a bonus patch release for good measure. It’s holiday gift time and most of these places have special codes, so be sure to follow them on Instagram and actually read the words they post (so you don’t miss the codes).

I might make money selling random trinkets on the internet but I’m also a lifelong meditator with a love for the lotus flower. This is a beautiful pin with a more detailed design than I’ve seen anywhere else. Stare at it for hours while your chakras align and your karma balances itself out. Om.

Call me a cynic, but I’ve spent enough time on the internet to think that the romanticization of skinhead culture is no more or less cool than OneDirection fan fiction or any and all fluid fetishism. Regardless, this is a great pin from a great shop. Kelsey Henderson, the artist behind this dastardly doggo, twists the imagery of debauchery into some great pin designs. If you read this and want to design stuff for me, hit me up.

Pinheads love the Steal Your Face template set forth by the Grateful Dead. Why? My hypothesis is that it all has to do with rich hippies. Second why? You can steal their intellectual property and they literally have no idea, because they love to smoke marijuana, not know how to use smartphones, and also, they’re rich.

Rarely do I find pins that are "the ___ I’ve ever seen," but this is undoubtedly the cutest pin I've ever seen. I mean, look at it. It’s a pig wearing rain boots. It’s adorable. You can buy this as a gift for literally anyone and they will love you forever.

$9 here.

BONUS PATCH:

Sometimes I include patches in here because they go well with pins. These are some notable new collaborative releases from Tough Times Press and Brace Legs Collective. Their mix'n'matchability offers something new and different, which is refreshing to see in a scene that can be very mass-market, despite its cottage leanings. These patches have pop appeal, but they are also experimenting with something new. For that, I salute you, Bracelegs and Tough Times.

OK folks, that’s all. Get 20% off my shop with code HAILSANTA. Lasts until the second week before Christmas.
