[NSFW] Kubrick and Hitchcock's Worlds Collide in a Flawless Mashup

Suspense and intensity are a match made in heaven.
Screencaps via

Alfred Hitchcock's go-to everyman, Jimmy Stewart, gets a haunting dose of Stanley Kubrick's insanity in a video mashup from French production house Gump Studios. In The Red Rum Getaway, Stewart's characters in Rear Window, Vertigo, and more encounter the likes of Jack Nicholson's Jack Torrance from The Shining and Malcolm McDowell's Alex DeLarge and his droogs from A Clockwork Orange, seamlessly edited into Hitchcock's universe. Things really start to get weird when the universes collide full on, when NSFW scenes from Eyes Wide Shut enter the mix and Nicholson idiosyncratically mumbling to themselves in the white room from 2001: A Space Odyssey where the Starchild is born.

Rather than being a film essay like Jacob T. Swinney's First and Final FramesThe Red Rum Getaway feels like a whole new film, in the vein of This Is Pablo's HELL'S CLUB. You'll have to watch this cinematic match made in heaven a couple of times to catch every reference, but trust us, it's a trip worth taking.
