3D printing gets its first ever show this year in London with 3D Print London 2012—a place where fans, experts, and novices can mingle around and take in the sights, which will include a 3D printed band, 3D footwear, and jewelry. In addition, the event will also feature seminars and workshops by people like Jason Lopez from Legacy Effects, who created the 3D printed body armor for the film Iron Man 2.Daniel Widrig’s 3D printed crystals. There will also be a 3D art gallery showcasing work by artists working in the field—from animation and sculpture to interactive design—and you can even replicate a mini version of yourself using a 3D body scanner. Competitions and bespoke work made especially for the show, plus big names from the world of 3D printing like MakerBot, 3D Systems, and Autodesk will also be on hand to show off their technology. The 3D Printshow is taking place at The Brewery, Chiswell St, London between October 20-21, 2012. Here’s hoping something similar will soon follow in the U.S. and beyond.A glimpse at some of the people and works included in the exhibition:Shoes by Andreia ChavesOther shoes by Hoon ChungFlux by Daniel Hilldrup3D printed necklace by Lynne MaclachlanBestial ceramique cup by Jordan Hodgson
