Watch The Music Video For Solange's - "Lovers In The Parking Lot" [Exclusive Premiere]

For the newest single off True, the singer travels back to her hometown of Houston, Texas.

Traveling back to her native Houston, Texas to shoot the video for Lovers In The Parking Lot, Solange goes on a choreographed journey through the city’s legendary flea market King’s Best. The Creators Project produces the video for the newest single off her EP True on Saint Records, with original concept by Solange.

“Pretty much every phase of growing up there was something attracting me to King's flea market. It just  feels so natural to tell these stories in a place that’s inspired so many of them.” - Solange

Directed by Solange, Peter J. Brant and Emily Kai Bock and produced by The Creators Project, the video is a journey through the empty, vaguely forlorn commercial spaces of Houston, Texas. Dancing through a basement cafeteria, arcade and pawn shop, to an iconic local mall where hip-hop legend Bun-B once worked, the eerie palette of muted colors is offset by Solange's natural ebullience. Heavily involved in the entire process, Solange participated in every aspect of the video from the treatment and concept to the art direction and final edit.

“Lovers in the Parking Lot” is the second video from Solange’s EP True. Her first video, “Losing You,” which was filmed in South Africa, has proven to be hugely successful, amassing over 8 million views.

Solange will appear in concert on September 20th with Vampire Weekend at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.  Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com and venue box office.
