Russia's Central Children’s Store lays claim to the world's largest permanent 3D mapping installation. Based in Moscow, the toy store is one of the oldest and largest in the country Russia and recently reopened, after several years of renovation, in March 2015. Sila Sveta, the Russian company behind the projection mapping, were commissioned during the renovations to come up with something that would really up the toy store ante—and that’s exactly what they did.

The new store, which is any kid (or adults) paradise, features divergent mediums that are spread throughout, each assisting and intensifying the other. “The Museum of Childhood,” for instance, which can be found on the 7th floor of the techy toy store, features projection mapping displayed on a rotating platform.

The permanent installation, which is found in the main atrium, has become nothing less than iconic, featuring 21 20k ANSI Lm projectors and 3 TouchDesigner based media servers. The whole project has come together to provide a visual feast for anyone who walks through the doors of the store, spanning over 785 square feet, and is open all week 10am-10pm.
