Miley Cyrus' Bedazzled Caitlyn Jenner Portraits Just Sold For $69,000

Talk about "Jennerative" art.

.

Miley Cyrus’ bedazzled editions of Caitlyn Jenner’s internet-breaking Vanity Fair cover have sold at the amFAR New York Gala for $69,000. Yes, that's right: $69K. As documented on her Instagram, Cyrus crafted The Caitlyn Collection for the annual AIDS awareness event in the name of her LGBTQ foundation, The Happy Hippies. The triptych remixes Annie Leibovitz’s catalytic shot of Jenner in acidic hues of textural puffy paint and heavy helpings of glitter. The media hailstorm surrounding Jenner’s announcement created an amalgamation of cultural offshoots from pronoun-enforcing Twitter Bots to Yung Jake’s emoji portrait. With the singer's first high-grossing art auction behind her — and an Instagram arsenal deemed “better than a million art museums combined” — we (actually) can't imagine what Cyrus’ art-world takeover might bring us next.
