Street artist Slinkachu’s work is best viewed under a magnifying glass: a lady swings on a matchstick, children play in the pool made from melting popsicle juice, and a couple crosses a river of Sprite. In an upcoming exhibition at the Andipa Gallery, Minaturesque, the artist will feature 17 images of his miniature masterpieces on paper and aluminum. as well as new sculptural pieces.“Using tropes from art and popular culture, Slinkachu’s new works employ irony, humour and a healthy dose of reality; despite their fantastical situations, the miniature figures we observe are not so dissimilar to ourselves, living in the shadows between the real and artificial,” explains the show's press release. After he photographs his centimeter-tall figures in nooks and crannies across London, transforming weeds in concrete cracks into green fields and puddles into lakes, he “abandons” them for good.Immerse yourself in Slinkachu’s tiny worlds, and see them shrink the further you zoom out:Related:"Tiny Worlds" Creates Animated Narratives In The Rubbish Of London's StreetsArtist Carves Tiny Pop Art Masterpieces on the Tips of PencilsWatch a Tiny Paper Dance Troupe Perform in This Stop-Motion ShortCGI Test Footage Pits A Tiny Crowd Against A Massive Swinging Arm
