Origami cranes and candy-colored orbs come alive on fingertips in the new stop-motion from manicurist Hatsuki Furutani and +Ring. Made using over 500 3D-printed nails, individually stuck and unstuck to a model's fingers, Transforming captures "how it would be if your nails were revitalized," as its cryptic project description reads. "Colors change as your hands move. Ideas come into shapes. Our nail art keeps transforming on your nails."

Produced by TaiyoKikaku Co., Ltd, the short film channels 3D-printed animations like Cut/Copy's "We Are Explorers" music video and DBLG's Bears on Stairs. What's more, Furutani and +Ring's collaboration puts this kind of animation in your own hands (literally), rounding itself out with a making-of video that will teach you how to animate your own manicure.
