Nothing Says Happy Valentine's Like Giant Futuristic Flowers
Traditionally today, Thursday 14th February or Valentine’s Day as it’s known to the gift card industry, is a time to give someone flowers to show that you give a damn. Of course, there are other ways of saying those three little words, but if you’re going to give flowers then wouldn’t these interactive flowers sculptures, created using abstract plastic shapes by artists Hsiao-chi Tsai and Kimiya Yoshikawa, be a much more impressive choice?
These futuristic blossoms are currently on display at the The Public in West Bromwich, UK, hanging from the ceiling and sat inside 5 foot tall glass vases. As well as looking impressive the sculptures are also interactive courtesy of artist Matt Venn and sound artists Circumstance, so they have a reactive sound component and “come to life and digitally bloom, rhythmically illuminating and relaying sounds as visitors explore the exhibition.”
