Preview Robyn's "Monument," The First Track Off Her Upcoming Album

Hear a preview off the Swedish pop star's upcoming collaboration with Röyksopp.

Though it's been four years since Robyn's Body Talk, we've continued to dance on our own (yup) to her music on a constant basis, holding a candle in anticipation for her next release. This morning, though, our Robyn cravings began to be quenched as Svein Berge of Röyksopp uploaded a clip of "Monument" the upcoming lead track to the singer's Do It Again EP that's out on May 26th.

As Berge notes, "Monument showcases a different side of Robyn," including breathy, near-mystic vocals, and a synth-heavy, churning beat. Though we're not treated to a chorus, the song feels more epic or cinematic than the immediate ear-candy of early work.

Robyn is also quoted, noting "It started to feel more like a band thing than songs for a Röyksopp or Robyn album so we´re releasing this music together as a band you could say."  Watch the preview above, and expect your local watering hole to be blasting a lot of the Swedish pop maestro this summer.
