If you took the bald, aged noggins of Jan Švankmajer and sent them into a time tunnel à la Bill and Ted's Excellend Adventure, but Pinhead from Hellraiser hopped in, they might come out on the other side looking something like the visceral, fraught sculptures of Sarah Sitkin. According to her website, the Los Angeles-based artist works with mediums including ("but not limited to") clay, latex, resin, and silicone, and perhaps her most famous work is a truly delicious "Custom Ear Phone Case" which basically looks like the side of someone's skull was scalped and stretched over an Incase. You can own the artwork for $600 (totally worth it, in my humble opinion).At the moment, Sitkin is working to fund a show using her artworks as pre-sale items. For, quite literally, "an arm and a leg," you can own both arm and leg sculptures from the artist (actually a steal considering the going rate for young figurative artists). She's also working with legendary artist Genesis P Orridge for an upcoming show at Invisible Exports. Check out more of her works below:
