Spiritualized Continue Their Trend Of Minimalist Cover Art

And their new track “Hey Jane” is something to get excited about.

Much lauded UK space rock band Spiritualized, probably most famous for their ‘97 album Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space (the inspiration behind the installation of the same name that toured our events last year) will release their seventh album Sweet Heart Sweet Light on April 17th. The band has just released the album’s (literally) puzzling cover art, and their new upbeat track “Hey Jane” is already getting us excited for spring.

On this nine minute song, the twangy electric guitar makes us want to cruise down the highway in a convertible, wind blowing through our hair, and the brief pause at three-and-a-half minutes in gives it the illusion of being two different songs. If simple album cover art makes for more impressive music, than we sure hope they keep it coming. Check out the band’s previous album covers below.
