As the founder of Strike Gently Co, I deal in pins and patches on a daily basis. The Creators Project asked me to pull together a weekly roundup of the best newly-released pins. Most of these will probably sell out. If you like them, smash that “add to cart” button. Every Wednesday, you can head to the bottom of this article for an exclusive discount code so you can keep your pin game sharp.

It’s Wednesday my dudes, and you know what that means—time for this week’s enamel pin roundup. Enamel pins are my bread and butter, and I’m not the only one. There are hundreds of cool small companies making art for your lapel. At the bottom of this post is a special discount code, good for 15% off at Strike Gently Co.

Killer Acid

Killer Acid is one of the finest actual artists in the pin game. A lot of people appropriate random imagery or blatantly steal copyrighted corporate emblems and cartoons, which is cool, but Killer Acid is one of the few heavy-hitters that makes his stuff 100% original. I met him this weekend at a zine fair in Brooklyn, where the pin and patch game were heavily represented. I love that artists young and old are using these smaller products to democratize their work for fans and spread the love for a low price. Check out how Killer Acid spent his 4/20 here.

I don’t really feel the need to wear my caffeine addiction on my sleeve—people tend to know simply based on my uncontrollable jitters. Perfect for those of you who enjoy abusing stimulants, get this pin from Pin Lord. Pin Lord is something of a saint in the pin game. He makes his own pins, but his page is mostly him repping other new releases, all of which are super high quality and beautifully presented. This one is a collab with Champs Diner. Bow, and chant: DEATH BEFORE DECAF! DEATH BEFORE DECAF!

Not everyone watches It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia in the way that everyone has seen Seinfeld, but those who do are rabid enough fans to warrant this pin’s inclusion in my Weekly Writeup. The backing card is even a copy of the D.E.N.N.I.S. System, which will make you laugh and probably make your uptight Tumblr friends mad at you. I am implying that you should watch the show. Just implying.

Dwayne the Rock Johnson is a great meme. I’m not really sure why. I think it’s because he does things like this. For gym bros and meme teens alike, this Dwayne pin is enough to make random strangers laugh on the street. It also makes you immune to being fucked with.

Blade Runner is one of the greatest films ever made. If you don’t believe me, just watch this video of a man having sex with a VR rig [probably NSFW] and tell me that replicants aren’t on the horizon. Ridley Scott and Philip K. Dick predicted the future in a classy and violent way, but I don’t even think it’s gonna be as aesthetic as what they envisioned. Joke’s on us—just wait until the ragdoll sex toy acquires deep learning machine intelligence and figures out how to commit crimes and build super strength bioweapons. The future is bright!

There are a lot of dumb Star Wars pins, but like, BB-8 is too cute. Look at the cute little guy. Proof that some robots are benevolent cutie pies. “May the 4th be with you,” nerds. Buy it.
