The original trilogy isn't as different from the prequels as all you Jar-Jar haters might suggest.

Friends and enemies are made over opinions on the Star Wars prequel trilogy, and comparisons between it and the original three in Episode VII: The Force Awakens is the inevitable byproduct of a fanbase excited for a new glimpse into the treasured galaxy. Anxious about what this strange new man (J.J. Abrams) will bring to it, filmmaker Pablo Fernandez Eyre has put together a video called Star Wars Poetry that proves Episodes IV, V, and VI aren't as different from I, II, and III as Jar-Jar's haters might suggest.

Plot, character development, CGI, world building, and consistency aside, the two trilogies have a visual rhythm that's particularly satisfying to see when Eyre points it out. There are rules, archetypes, and patterns of behavior and physics that might offer a glimpse into what makes the Star Wars universe feel so real: as George Lucas puts it in the beginning of the video, "You see the echo of where it all is gonna go. It's like poetry, sort of. They rhyme." See what he means below:
