They may be at the top of their fields now, but they weren't always.

Any creative knows that sticking to their craft can be hard. This video, filmed during Art Basel Miami, which premieres today exclusively on The Creators Project, features artists talking about all the work they've put in to making it in their fields. The discussion, presented by the Dean Collection curated by Swizz Beatz and Bacardi is a salon style conversation with Swizz Beatz, rapper [Lil Dicky](http:// https://twitter.com/lildickytweets), artist Tomokazu Matzuyama (Matsu), and BK the Artist, hosted by Miami radio personality Papa Keith.

"It's beautiful that we're sitting down and the theme is 'The Art of Hustle,'" says BK the Artist in the clip. "The only thing that you control is how hard you work, and how hard you work for it. Whether it be who I met, a good gallery, a connection in your city, these are all nuanced things, that really, you have no control, whether it be chance, luck, or circumstance. But the one thing you have control over is how hard you work for it."

This discussion took place at the No Commission art fair curated by Swizz Beatz's The Dean Collection, in order to reinforce a direct and immediate link between artists and art patronage during Art Basel week. For many revelers, The Dean Collection is an important new voice in the art world. The purpose of the fair was to provide the selected artists with free exhibition space and the opportunity to retain 100% of any of their sales. It upholds Swizz Beatz's respect for emerging artists from diverse backgrounds. The art fair and the video discussion below was part of the generative and collaborative exchange made possible by The Dean Collection x Bacardi's No Commission art fair, and the Untameable House Party concert series.
