The Creators Project Returns To New York
Last year, we took over Milk Studios in New York City to give you the launch party of all launch parties, showcasing works and performances by M.I.A., Interpol, Spike Jonze, Radical Friend, and Nick Zinner. It was one of those memorable events that people are still talking about, and has permanently cemented NYC in our hearts.
This year, New York is the last stop on our whirlwind global tour that began at Coachella this April, toured through Lyon, Paris, and will be hitting São Paulo, Seoul and Beijing, before heading back to the Big Apple to bring it all full circle.
Following last year’s launch in New York, The Creators Project’s return will feature a Karen O psycho-opera, an assault on the tragic joys of youth. Directed by Adam Rapp, the work will be produced by The Studio, a multimillion-dollar global studio launched this year by The Creators Project that produces and distributes works from artists representing a cross-section of creative disciplines. The premiere will take place at the critically acclaimed St. Ann’s Warehouse.
