10 Disturbing Pieces Of Street Art That'll Haunt Your Nightmares

It's not Banksy, and it's definitely not normal.

Artist Mark Jenkins' terrifying public art installations will permanently destroy your mind and general sense of well-being indefinitely. Basically we're traumatized just by seeing these. Made of duct tape, polyethylene, and rudimentary casting techniques, Jenkins is able to create a range of absurd and macabre figures.

These terrifying works include:

…a leg-less man hanging out in Vilnius.

…a pedestrian getting mowed down by a bunch of parked bikes in Malmo, Sweden.

…a sketchy character in Washington D.C.

.. a new, street art version of The Ring in Barcelona.

… a figure of intense emotional pain in Dublin.

…a creepy yeti in a gallery.

Fur Sitter (2013)

…sewer legs in Moscow.

…a bunch of clear babies hanging from trees, haunting your psyche in the park.

…a newspaper man reading a newspaper in Seoul.

And finally…

…a completely random  LOL in Tokyo.

For even more disturbing work, including faux-dead bodies, runaway kids, and home intruders, visit Jenkins' website here.

On a more ridiculous note, in 2008 Jenkins' was commissioned by Greenpeace to create a series of public installations in the DC area to draw attention to the melting Arctic ice caps. The result was Plight of the Polar, a series of realistic-looking sculptures that appeared to be homeless people with fuzzy polar bear heads. As an unintended consequence, bomb squads were summoned to the installation point after numerous calls of "a suspicious package."

Seriously DC, what kind of suspicious package looks like a homeless person polar bear?
