If you happen to find yourself in NYC this evening and have a penchant for generative, code-based art, make your way over to Devotion Gallery in Williamsburg for the opening of “The Root of the Root.” The exhibition features works from Marius Watz (who we interviewed previously), Aaron Meyers, and Paul Prudence. The selection of works beautifully showcases the diversity of the medium—each artist working in a distinct, identifiable visual style and experimenting with media ranging from plywood, to photographic prints, to real-time generated visuals.The exhibition opens tonight at 6pm and will run through November 21st, 2010.
