As the founder of Strike Gently Co, I deal in pins and patches daily. The Creators Project asked me to pull together a weekly roundup of the best newly-released pins. Most of these will probably sell out. If you like them, smash that “add to cart” button. Every Wednesday, you can head to the bottom of this article for an exclusive discount code so you can keep your pin game sharp.

Instagram changed their algorithm for everyone this week after many months of rolling out the update. Admittedly, it’s thrown the pin and patch world for a loop. Most of these artists sell their stuff on Instagram. The caveat of using a big corporate platform to sell your DIY art is that when they change their shit up, you have to adapt. Thankfully, the pin game seems to be adapting. I’ve been seeing more original and intriguing content than ever. No reposting the same old photos. No copying the aesthetics of others. No boring hashtags or captions. Everything has to be quality now, and everyone’s doing a solid job keeping up. Go team. This week we’ve got five killer releases. There’s something for everyone.

Pin Museum

New Soft Enamel Pin Inspired by "The Old Guitarist" by Pablo Picasso. 1.68" x 0.95" Available now at pinmuseum.org (Link in Bio)

Wow, thanks a lot, Pin Museum. I was going to try to make a Picasso blue period pin but you did it first, and you nailed it. Your previous stuff was pretty cool, but this takes the cake. That’s right, folks, pins are indeed tiny art. If you were to buy something like this even from a museum gift shop it would cost $100. Pin Museum is literally bringing art to the masses.

Everyone has tough days, right? Some days are tougher than others. Some days send you regressing to infantilism, rolling around your room in the fetal position. Everyone does that a few times a week, right? Right, guys? Yeah, of course they do. It’s normal. This pin collab from Pinlord and Poni helps you remind others of your emotional fragility and self-deprecating sense of humor. It’s practically made for Jewish boys like me. Grabbing one for me and each of my friends.

Overmind

Celestica glow. Available online at overmind.co

Some pins grab your attention because they reference pop cultural symbols. Others draw you in because of their lewd humor or their visual punnery dad jokes. This pin is just plain good. It’s beautifully designed and super elegant. I want to wear one of these everywhere and I probably will. This sort of design is the reason I find this community so inspiring. Thanks, Overmind.

Joe King

Still have some @NoHours 45 Caliber pins available. Scoop one of these guys up before they are gone. #NoHOURS #pins #pingame #patches #patchgame #lapelpin #enamelpin #limited #sale #45cal #45caliber

This isn’t a new pin but it was recently restocked. Joe King is one of the finest artists in the game. He’s tackled everything from farting cats to pen-knives to PBR cans sliced by switchblades. His style is impeccable and every time I see one of his designs I know exactly who it is. Then I spend $10 acquiring the pin or patch in question. Whether you’re new to the pin game or a seasoned veteran, I highly suggest checking out Joe’s other pieces.

Move in Silence Co.

I wouldn't be able to eat most food without this! Purchase now! #moveinsilence LINK IN BIO! Thank you! #tapatio

I’m super white so it took me until age 23 to discover the wonders of Tapatio. For the past few months I’ve been dousing just about every meal with the stuff. Despite the fact that my kidneys are probably failing and my stomach lining deteriorating, I feel more youthful and flavorful than ever. I’ll buy this pin and wear it around to proclaim my loyalty to the greatest salsa mankind has yet produced.
