Canada's largest city has never looked as bombastic as in Ryan Emond's new video, 'Toronto Skyline Porn.'

Among photographers and filmmakers, the portrayal of architecturally impacting cities like TokyoBostonBerlin, or Pyongyang as timelapses and hyperlapses has, in recent years, evolved into its own sport. Months spent photographing buildings and skylines of cities from different perspectives have resulted in dynamic short clips made from the hundreds of thousands of pictures, images that unite centers of human activity in all their vibrance. The most recent example of these possibilities comes from Canadian Ryan Emond.

Emond, who lives in Toronto and works as a cameraman and photographer, understands in his own unique way how to capture the energy of a location in a single image. "I'm starting with passionate motifs, in this case, to make the viewer feel the pulse of each shot," the artist explains on his website. With its publication earlier this week, Toronto Skyline Porn is a fascinating visual journey through the gigantic architecture of Emond's hometown.

For Toronto Skyline Porn, he used a Canon 5DM3 for the images, and sent a DJI Phantom 2 aerial quadcopter, equipped with a GoPro, into the sky.

Emond's timelapses have already been selected several times as Vimeo Staff Picks—below, check out an older Toronto Timelapse, produced by Emond over September-October 2011:
