Tune In May 9th To Watch Savages Perform Live From London

Savages perform live from London this Thursday.

The feeling of emancipation and the raw experience of music is at the core of Savages' ethos. The post-punk all chick rock band's live shows echo that mentality. They ask their fans to turn off their phones during their shows to encourage total immersion—"only with full experience will the words we speak be true," they say on their website.

Savages have a history of presenting themselves through their live show—their first official music video for "Shut Up" is an artfully-cut short film (directed and edited by Giorgio Testi) featuring the band warming up and performing live.

Their debut album Silence Yourself, released today on Matador Records / Pop Noire, is a true celebration of their fearless, powerful aesthetic. To mark the release, the London-based four-piece will be participating in a special concert event this Thursday. Since the live aspect  is so important to Savages, the event will be live streamed in partnership with The Creators Project, under the direction of DARYL, and can exclusively be viewed on The Creators Project YouTube Channel.

Tune in HERE at 4:15 pm EDT/9:15 pm GMT on May 9th for the reveal.
