The Creators Project: Who are you and what do you do?
Nicolas Sassoon: My name is Nicolas Sassoon. I make animations and drawings on my computer. I publish most of them online through the animated GIF format. I also make site-specific projections, prints, and sculptures. I collaborate with many people, including other artists and fashion designers. I also grow aquatic plants in my basement.

What hardware do you use?
For daily use I have a Vaio laptop with a crappy power supply. I also use LCD screens, projectors, and printers on a regular basis.

What software do you use?
Most of the time I use Photoshop, Premiere, Flash, Sketch-p—occasionally I use other programs for specific projects.

If money were no object, how would you change your current setup?
I would get a new laptop and some serious LED fixtures for my aquatic plants.

What fantasy piece of technology would you like to see invented?
Free-energy generator.

Is there any piece of technology that inspired you to take the path you did?
When I was 16, my older sister was dating a hacker who helped me set up my first desktop computer, mostly to play Final Doom and other games.
