Win Tickets to Australia’s Only Solar-Powered Music Festival

Off the Grid is on this Wednesday. We're going to help you get there.
Last year's Off the Grid festival at ACCA

These long summer days are perfectly designed for festivals, and this week’s Melbourne weather is particularly scorching. Just as well, because Off the Grid—Australia’s first and only 100 percent solar powered music and art party—is on Wednesday. There are only a handful of last minute tickets left for the hottest event in town, but The Creators Project is partnering with the festival to give away double passes if you haven't got your act together.

The massive Off the Grid lineup features music from improv duo Albrecht La’Brooy, underground visionary Andee Frost, unpredictable electronica artist Andras, Lullaby for Insomniacs’ Izabel Caligiore, house luminary J’Nett, obscure vinyl Queen Miss Goldie, Red Light Records’ Tako, high energy eight piece NO ZU, and the very international Senengambian Jazz Band—as well as contemporary dance from dancer and choreographer Benjamin Hancock, presented by Chunky Move.

Oh, and right before the dancing begins, eco-conference The Palimpsest will feature conversations between some of Australia’s leading environmentalists, architects, activists, entrepreneurs and foodies. On the program is Timothy Hill, one of Australia’s most prolific architectural minds, Natalie Isaacs, founder and CEO of 1 Million Women, and Paul Gorrie: the Victoria State Coordinator of SEED, Australia’s first Indigenous youth climate network. This is not just another conference about climate change—it’s an informative, fascinating discussion about the future of cities.

Off the Grid is held at ACCA on December 21, 2016—the day of the summer solstice. Keen to burn up the dancefloor? Send an email to aucomps@vice.com for your chance to win that double pass, or buy tickets here.
