Listen to The Toxic Avenger's "To The Sun" Featuring One of Daft Punk's Brothers

The French producer delivers an intergalactic space jam.

The night is winding down and the girl you're interested in is off dancing with another less-interesting guy, so you turn around to face the DJ, close your eyes and fly off into space with a hour-glass-figured alien beauty to save the galaxy. In the background, The Toxic Avenger's plays his synth-pop sweetness "To The Sun," while Tulip—who just happens to be Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo's brother— uses his smooth, funky, trustworthy voice to lead you straight into a developing pink-and-blue nebula. You win the space wars and all is right again.

French producer The Toxic Avenger was born Simon Delacroix, but took on the name of the cult superhero film, when he first signed with iheartcomix back in 2007. He's since collaborated with the funkloards Chromeo, but the Toxic Avenger's version of electronic funk leans more intergalactic. His next EP, Romance & Cigarettes, arrives tomorrow via Ultra Records. Don't miss it.
