Each week we chat about the tools of the trade with one outstanding creative to find out exactly how they do what they do. The questions are always the same, the answers, not so much. This week: Peter Tarka.

What kind of software do you use?
I use many tools, but usually use Maxon Cinema 4D, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.

What piece of equipment can you simply not live without?
I couldn’t live without my phone, bike, and computer. I could not imagine my life without these things.

If money were no object, how would you change your current setup?
I would definitely like to buy a laptop so my work could be done outside my home.

Is there any piece of technology that inspired you to take the path you did?
I was definitely fascinated by the graphic tablet, which gave me the freedom similar to that on a piece of paper. It’s had a big impact on the path I’ve chosen.

What is your favorite piece of technology from your childhood?
As a child, I was mostly interested in video games. My favorites were the Game Boy Color and a console called Pegasus. I remember that was a lot of fun to play. Today, unfortunately, the console is hard to find.

What fantasy piece of technology would you like to see invented?
I would like to see a computer with a touchscreen like the Wacom Cintiq tablet. That would be something great.
