Celebrate King Deluxe's Fourth Birthday with Jacob 2-2's "The Richardson"

We'd rather have music over cake, too.

This year, the Canadian imprint King Deluxe turns four! With that comes their annual birthday album called Year Four, featuring selected works from the label's roster. On the special compilation is Jacob 2-2, a Brooklyn-based animator by day and master of sound by night. His smooth, luscious tune in "The Richardson" is a pinnacle of Year Four.

Representing a variety of electronic music producers from around the globe, King Deluxe has established itself as a unique, eclectic label that continues to push the envelope of creative composition. New music from the likes of Muta, Himuro Yoshiteru, Alphabets Heaven & Segilota, Julien Mier & Magical Mistakes, A Thousand Years, and Clavin Cardioid make up the skeleton of the release. Overall, it's a collection of tunes that can be played both in the club and on your headphones.

In addition to this delightful package, a video for Julien Mier and Magical Mistakes' "Divide, Multiply" by filmmaker Keita Onishi comes out on Monday. In the meantime, check out Jacob 2-2's "The Richardson" above and grab Year Four on King Deluxe now.
