We were completely thrilled to hang out with Emily Kai Bock in Montreal. Emily is a wonderfully talented director who made her name in music videos--you probably already know that she directed Grimes' super famous video "Oblivion" among other fantastic and magical clips--and big budget commercial spots. Still, even with the sudden commercial success, Emily is a focused and highly creative filmmaker with a very distinct visual voice.
In this episode Emily took us around her Mile End neighbourhood, we visited the loft where she used to throw massive parties with bands like Doldrums, and we got to talk about her already impressive body of work. Enjoy.
